Users receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the 4X – Board Game App (the "App") solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license is strictly limited to using the App as provided by 4X-Digital GmbH ("Provider").

You may not:

• Copy or modify the App or substantial parts thereof
• Sell, license, sublicense, rent, lend, or otherwise transfer the App to third parties
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App (except to the extent permitted by law)
• Use the App in violation of applicable law
• Use or export the App in violation of applicable import/export regulations
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels from the App or its content
• Create derivative works based on the App

The App and all copies thereof are proprietary to the Provider and title thereto remains in the Provider. All applicable rights in all copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, and other intellectual property rights in and related to the App are and will remain in the Provider. All rights not explicitly granted herein are reserved.

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The Provider disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The Provider shall not be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the App. Liability for simple negligence is excluded unless it concerns an obligation essential to the purpose of this agreement (cardinal obligation) or injury to life, body, or health.

You retain all rights in content you create using the App. By uploading content, you grant the Provider a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store such content solely to provide the App's services. You represent that you have all necessary rights to your content.

As a consumer (natural person acting outside their business or professional activity), you have a right of withdrawal pursuant to § 355 BGB within 14 days of contract conclusion, without giving reasons. To exercise this right, you must notify the Provider (4X-Digital GmbH, Am Herrschaftswald 2, 68305 Mannheim, webmaster@4x-digital.com) by means of an unequivocal statement. The withdrawal period expires after 14 days from the day of contract conclusion. If you have expressly agreed that the service should start before the expiry of the withdrawal period and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal upon full performance, this right lapses upon full performance.

This agreement is effective until terminated. You may terminate at any time by deleting the App and ceasing its use. The Provider may terminate if you fail to comply with any provision of this agreement. Consumer rights to extraordinary cancellation for good cause remain unaffected.

If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback regarding the App, the Provider may freely use such feedback without any obligation or compensation to you.

The Provider processes your personal data in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy at www.4x-digital.com.

This agreement is governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you also benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside. For disputes with consumers, the courts at the consumer's domicile have jurisdiction.

The Provider reserves the right to amend these terms. You will be notified of material changes. Continued use of the App after notification constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but are willing to do so.
